CCIR National Field Network Call on Wednesday, June 6th, at 3:00 pm Eastern.

The Time Is Now!

The Memorial Day Recess is now behind us and we are heading into our second week of debate on the compromise. The issue of immigration is not going away - we need real, workable solutions. Going forward, we need to continue building momentum and fighting to achieve the improvements that our community needs: making legalization accessible, honoring family reunification, protecting workers and respecting due process. There is an historic opportunity for Congress to fix our broken immigration system; they must do it now but do it right!

To hear more about where we are and what is needed to get reform done, join

  • CCIR Legislative, Communications and Field Teams for updates around the country.
  • We will have a special guest speaker on this week's call.

These conversations will be part of the CCIR National Field Network call on Wednesday, June 6th, at 3:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (2:00 Central Time; 1:00 Mountain; 12:00 Pacific). And Don't Forget Our National Call-In Days!

There is an historic opportunity to achieve immigration reform, and we must encourage Congress to do it now and to do it right. The plan that was introduced on May 17th is not perfect. That bill, the Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007, is a good starting point for us to move forward and fight to achieve the improvements our community needs. Comprehensive immigration reform is within our reach and we would not have gotten this far without your help. This is the moment to achieve change, but your Senators need to hear this message every day. Be sure to call and voice your support for comprehensive immigration reform every day this week. You will make the difference!
